Asante Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee (IMC) is scheduled to hold an emergency meeting this afternoon to determine the future of head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum following a disappointing run of form in the Ghana Premier League.

The decision follows consecutive defeats— a heavy 3-0 loss to Accra Lions and a 2-0 setback against Nations FC —which have cast further doubt on Ogum’s position at the club. The poor results have seen the Porcupine Warriors drop to fourth on the league table with 47 points after 28 matches.

Sources close to the club suggest the IMC has already made the decision not to retain Ogum beyond the current season, with a formal announcement expected after the meeting. The session will also focus on identifying potential successors, as the club looks to stabilize its performance in the remaining six matches of the campaign.

So far this season, Kotoko have recorded 13 wins, 8 draws, and 7 losses, scoring 28 goals and conceding 21—an average of 1.68 points per game.

Despite their inconsistent league form, Kotoko remain in the hunt for silverware and will face Berekum Chelsea in the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup.

The outcome of the IMC meeting could prove pivotal to the club’s ambitions, both in the league and in cup competition.
