Nations FC head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle has expressed his joy following his side’s impressive 2-0 victory over giants Asante Kotoko in a high-stakes match-week 28 clash at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
The Eagles continued their dominance over the Porcupine Warriors, extending their unbeaten league run against them with a confident performance on Sunday.
Nafiu Sulemana set the tone with a stunning opener in the 15th minute, before Emmanuel Annor struck again just before halftime to seal all three points for the title-chasing side.
Reacting to the result, Coach Mingle praised his team’s execution and revealed the mindset they carried into the game.
"We came with our game plan to get the goals and it worked to perfection," Mingle said. "I told my players that if they truly want to be champions, this was a game they had to win. They were fully motivated, everyone played their part. We came to play and win — that was the strategy from the start."
Nations FC remain second on the league table with 51 points and will next travel to face Berekum Chelsea as the title race intensifies.
