Medeama boss Evans Adotey says he has mapped up a strategy ahead of their CAF Champions League match against Al Ahly in Cairo on Saturday.
The Yellow and Mauves boss was in his usual calm-like-ruthless demeanor during a press conference ahead of the game, revealing that he will ambush the Red Giants with his tactics, and he is optimistic that his men will approach the game on a different level altogether and keep the Egyptians at bay.
"As a coach of Medeama and from Ghana, there are three things I am looking at. One is the functional guideline of Al Ahly – their formational play. Two, the system of play! I mean the functional guideline of a team within which each player has his own position, area of play, and duties to perform," Adotey said.
And finally, I’m looking at tactics. I have an idea about my opposition, and I know how they will approach the game. I know the tactics to apply. I also know how eager they are to win the game tomorrow. I also have my secret under my sleeves just to frustrate Al Ahly to ensure that I go back home with a positive result," he exuberantly added.
Medeama will hope to become the first Ghanaian side to beat the continental record holders in this first ever meeting in a continental clash.
The Ghanaian powerhouse threw out Nigerian side Remo Stars and Guinean side Horoya AC to qualify for the group stage in the preliminary rounds of the competition.
