Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah has pledged that the team will give their all to secure victory in the upcoming Champion of Champions encounter against Bibiani GoldStars on Sunday, August 31, at the DUN’s Park.
The Porcupine Warriors are aiming to bounce back after a disappointing run in the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 tournament, where they failed to register a win. Speaking to the club’s media, Amoah insisted that the squad is determined to correct their mistakes and make a strong statement against Frimpong Manso’s side.
“From our past games with them, we’ve created a lot of chances. What we need to do now is work on our goal scoring so we can convert those opportunities,” Amoah explained.
“In football, there can be a loss, a draw, or a win. We have already suffered a defeat, but we won’t let that repeat. This time we are going to work hard, especially on our finishing, because we are creating the chances. What’s left is to take them and score,” he added.
The Champion of Champions tie forms a crucial part of Kotoko’s preparations for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign, where they are set to face Nigerian side Kwara United in the preliminary round next month.
