Accra Lions gaffer, Ibrahim Tanko has expressed elation following his side's precious win over Bibiani Goldstars but still feels they are some missing elements in his team that he has to work on going forward.
The Lions exhibited a dominant performance last Monday to inflict a precious 2-0 win over Bibiani Goldstars in the capital in the final fixture of GPL match-week 26.
Two goals scored by Yahaya Mohammed and Daniel Awuni from each half was enough to hand the the Blue-Blacks all three points and also get them back on winning path.
Reacting to the win, the Black Meteors gaffer lauded the performance his players displayed to secure all three points and added they have to still improve with their conversion rate having missed some couple of clear cut chances in the game.
"It’s very good points for us looking at where we have climbed on the table. I think the boys did very well. I mean we created a lot of chances and winning 2-0 against Bibiani is a very good result for us."
“To score two goals against a tough side like Bibiani Gold Stars is not an easy job. Definitely, we are going to keep working to improve our scoring,” he told StarTimes.
With three wins from their last five matches, Accra Lions are currently sitting on the fifth spot on the league table with 39 points and will travel to Karela United in the next round of matches.
