Dreams FC head coach, Ignatius Osei-Fosu after thorough assessment has opened up and given his take on some of the talking points after the season.
The 2021/22 Ghana football season ended last month with Asante Kotoko being crowned champions of the Premier League and their arch rivals Hearts of Oak also winning the FA Cup and will both represent the country in Africa next season.
The enterprising gaffer started the season with Medeama SC but got jettisoned after just round 3, after sharing spoils with his former club Eleven Wonders.
He joined the 'Still Believe' lads in the latter part of the season to replace Serbian trainer Vladislav Viric and guided them to the 13th position with 44 points.
Speaking to Kumasi-based Pure FM, the ex- Liberty coach believes Kotoko have better individual players than Hearts of Oak and specifically mentioned some names to complete his comparisons.
“Asante Kotoko have an overall better team and individual players than Accra Hearts of Oak except maybe for wingers and goalkeepers that are at par”
“Frank Mbella is better than both Afriyie Barnieh and Kofi Kordzi per last season statistics.”
“Sheriff Mohammed is a way better defensive midfielder than Abdul Aziz Nurudeen.”
He also said something about high-flying Bechem United who finished 3rd and also finished as runners up in the league cup.
“With Bechem United FC, people keep talking about Samuel Osei Kuffour but Kofi Agbesimah who partners Osei Kuffour is millions better than Kuffour but Kuffour has hype.”
