Head coach of FC Samartex 1996, Nurudeen Amadu has promised to improve the away performance of the club in the second round of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
The Timber Giants are in contention to clinch their first-ever silverware in this campaign since gaining promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight league last season.
FC Samartex 1996 ended the first round of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season on top of the table after amassing 32 points from seventeen matches.
However, Amadu believes their ambition of winning the title will come true when he and his charges maintain their unbeaten home streak and improve their performances in away fixtures.
The Samreboi based outfit suffered five away defeats, recorded two victories and drew twice in the process as they pick all points in their eight home games at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
“We are diligently striving to replicate our home success in our away games. It's evident that our away performance has been hindered by the players' mindset, but we are actively addressing the issue.” Amadu said.
“We are optimistic about making improvements when the league resumes,” he added.
FC Samartex will commence their second round of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign with a trip to the Bono Region to face Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Stadium on Monday, February 26, 2024.
