FC Samartex head coach Nurudeen Amadu has revealed that Professor Joseph Mintah, the Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, recommended him for the position. Amadu, who assumed the role in July 2023 from former coach Annor Walker, guided the team to an impressive league victory in only their second season in the top flight.

The Samreboi-based club clinched the title with two games to spare following a 1-0 win over Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday afternoon. Reflecting on his journey, the 53-year-old coach, who previously managed King Faisal, expressed gratitude to those who supported him.

“A big thanks to Prof Mintah who recommended me to Samartex, and many thanks also to Edmund Ackah, who believed in me a lot,” Amadu said.

Under Amadu’s leadership, FC Samartex has showcased exceptional performance this season. The team has won 18 matches, lost 10, and drawn 4 out of the 32 games played so far, highlighting their dominance in the league.

This historic league title marks a significant milestone for FC Samartex, underscoring their rise in Ghanaian football. The achievement is not only a personal triumph for Amadu but also a testament to the team’s hard work and dedication.
