FC Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu considers winning the Ghana Premier League title with the club a monumental achievement.
The Samreboi-based team secured the title with two games remaining, following a 1-0 victory over Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday afternoon.
Amadu, who took over the reins from former coach Annor Walker in July 2023, led the team to this impressive victory in just their second season in the top flight. Reflecting on his journey, Coach Amadu shared his joy and recalled the initial doubts surrounding his appointment.
“Not many people at Samartex, including the fans, knew who I was,” he told Akoma FM in Kumasi. “Winning the league is a huge accomplishment because the goal was to finish higher than last season, not to win the league. For me, it’s a dream come true.”
Under Amadu’s leadership, FC Samartex has demonstrated exceptional performance this season. The team has won 18 matches, lost 10, and drawn 4 out of the 32 games played so far, underscoring their dominance in the league.
This historic league title represents a significant milestone for FC Samartex, showcasing their rise in Ghanaian football. The achievement is not only a personal triumph for Amadu but also a testament to the team’s hard work and dedication.
