Prince Tagoe, former striker for Ghana and Hearts of Oak, has offered valuable advice to Afriyie Barnieh, captain of the Black Meteors, in hopes of helping him rediscover his lost form.

Tagoe suggests that Barnieh should address any unresolved issues with Hearts of Oak, his former club.

Barnieh, who led the Black Satellites to victory in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, had an exceptional season with Hearts of Oak in 2020/21, winning both the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup. His outstanding performances earned him a place in the Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup.

However, Barnieh's career has encountered difficulties since his move to FC Zurich in Switzerland, where he has struggled to secure regular playing time.

Following the Black Meteors' disappointing performance and early exit from the ongoing U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Barnieh has faced significant criticism.

Tagoe believes that resolving any lingering issues with Hearts of Oak is crucial for Barnieh to regain his top form. He points out that the manner in which Barnieh departed the club was less than ideal, and therefore, finding a resolution with the club would be beneficial for his career.

"I always say that the way Barnieh left the club was not good, his farewell to the club was not pleasant. So, in my opinion, if he wants to perform at his best again, he should come and resolve any issues he might have with the club," Tagoe expressed during an interview on Angel TV.
