Jordan Ayew, the Black Stars forward, has expressed his desire to play in the Ghana Premier League before retiring from professional football.

Ayew, who has spent his entire career in Europe, playing in France and England, is contemplating a return to his homeland as he approaches the final years of his career.

At 31 years old, Ayew recognizes that he has limited time to continue playing at the highest level in European football. As a result, he is considering the option of joining a Ghanaian club to compete in the local league.

Accra, the capital city of Ghana, is Ayew's preferred location, and he has mentioned Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics as potential options for him. He feels a strong connection to Accra since he is based there.

"The Ghana Premier League is something that I have in mind. One day, I could play for a team in Accra because I base in Accra," Ayew shared with Gtv Sports Plus.

However, before pursuing his aspirations in the Ghana Premier League, Ayew will be returning to England this week to join Crystal Palace for pre-season training. The club is preparing for the upcoming season, and Ayew will be an integral part of their plans.
