Medeama SC captain Kwesi Donsu has been ruled out of their CAF Champions League game against Remo Stars FC this weekend despite not being injured
The Mauves and Yellows have been in intensive preparations since being paired with the Nigerian outfit and are looking really desperate for nothing but a money zone spot in the continent's most elite club football competition.
They will hope to right all wrongs from their preseason matches as they hope to grind a positive outcome on home soil to boost their qualification chances before the return encounter in Nigeria next week.
Kwesi Donsu, who was the team's captain last season and played a vital role in their league triumph, has been declared unavailable for the game as he is set to travel outside the country in the next couple of days.
Coach Evans Adortey confirmed this development in his pre-match presser;
"First no! Not even my captain who is sitting beside me. If he is not there, I need to fix in a player, who plays the same way or better."
"For Kwasi Donsu, I’ve received several questions coming from all stations. I need to make it clear here! Kwasi Donsu is bound to travel. He is travelling out of the country. He was supposed to have travelled last Wednesday but he is still in town. In the next week, Kwasi Donsu will be out of the country."
The game is scheduled for Sunday, August 20, 2023 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
