Ghanaian topflight outfit, Medeama SC have officially announced the jettisoning of six players from their squad by mutual consent as they look to establish a new squad for the 2022/23 football season.
The Mauves and Yellows started the season really poor but picked up their pieces in the course to make an outstanding top four finish in the end.
They finished on the second position with 56 points at the end of the season, having trailed champions Asante Kotoko with 11 points.
Head coach Umar Abdul Rabi who took over from Ignatius Osei-Fosu on interim basis per reports, has been handed the job on permanent basis following his impressive run with the club in the just-finished campaign.
However, with the playing body, unfortunately six players have been released after agreement between the parties involved. The players include experience goalie John Moosie, Ivorian Ali Ouatarra, Michael Sefa, Kingsley Adjei, Sulley Musah and former Kotoko defender Samuel Frimpong.
The two time FA Cup conquerors are looking to establish a redoubtable side with no blemishes to get themselves well gelled and poised for the new season.
