The Board of Asante Kotoko will meet head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum and management headed by Nana Yaw Amponsah to resolve the ongoing impasse at the club in Kumasi.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Sports Hotel, owned by Board Chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei, early this morning.

According to inside sources within the management, Nana Yaw Amponsah and his team are likely to quit if Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum stays at the club after today's meeting.

Last week Wednesday, Dr. Narteh Ogum told the club about his 'final' decision to resign from the although it's yet to be written officially to the club, according to the administrative and operations manager, Newton Dasoberi.

The Board have emphatically stated that Narteh Ogum is still at post and haven't downed his tools as the head coach.

In sharp contrast, board member, Dr. Kofi Abban has slammed the head coach and insisted that the coach isn't bigger than Asante Kotoko whiles praising the management of the club.

Among a host of issues, the coach fell out with the management, reportedly wanted ten current players to exit and requested for seventeenth new signings to augment the squad ahead of their CAF Champions league campaign and new GPL season, which the management disagreed.

Surprisingly, amidst the huge sponsorships deals at the club, Dr. Narteh Ogum is owed more between four-six months salary in arrears plus bonuses.

Per reports, what actually broke the camels back was when the management failed to attend the one week funeral observation of Mr. Prosper Narteh, the late father of the gaffer.

Asante Kotoko won the Ghana Premier league with sixty-seven points in the just ended season, ending their eight years barren run.
