New Aduana Stars gaffer, Paa Kwesi Fabin, has revealed that Asante Kotoko contacted him to replace Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum as the head coach of the club.
Prosper Narteh Ogum the club top officials that he wants to step down as the head coach after ten months on Wednesday.
Administrative manager, Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, confirmed that he told them he has resigned but he's yet to officially notify the club of his decision.
However, the Board of the club categorically debunked the resignation of the gaffer insisting that it's media speculations.
But board member, Yaw Adu, says the club will meet the University of Cape Coast lecturer to reconsider his decision and resolve the differences between the coach and the C.E.O Nana Yaw Amponsah.
Asante Kotoko won the Ghana Premier league with sixty-seven points, ending the eight years league title drought.
Paa Kwesi Fabin was announced as the new head coach of two-time Ghana Premier League title holders, Aduana Stars last week Wednesday.
The Black Starlets coach, Fabin, says Asante Kotoko approached him before dotting the lines with Aduana Stars.
"Two Asante Kotoko board members contacted me when Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum resigned from his post but told them I have signed for Aduana FC," Fabin revealed.
