Nations FC head coach, Kassim Mingle has asserted that the departure of Michael Awuah Mensah and Asamoah Boateng Afriyie to Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak won’t affect the fortunes of the club in the 2024/25 season.

The Phobians have snapped up the duo as they seek to rebuild under coach Aboubakar Ouattara.

However, Mingle has admitted the two key players were pivotal in their 2023/24 season but believes their exit won’t affect the fortunes of his side in the upcoming campaign.

"I’m sure the exit of Asamoah Boateng and Awuah Mensah will not affect us," the 66-year-old said. "We’ve got good replacements for them so we don’t have any problem, but [Boateng and Awuah's departure doesn't affect my team]."

Last season, Mingle led the Abrankese-based club to finish seventh in their debut season in the Ghanaian top-flight.
