Skipper of Dreams FC Abdul Bashiru has appealed to the Premier League Board (PLB) to change the mitre balls before the second round kicks off.

The Premier League debutants stalwart defender has joined the people criticising the quality of the leather used in the Ghana Premier League.

Recently, Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda also jumped to the defense of Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye’s howler against Asante Kotoko on the supposed poor quality of the Mitre ball being the cause of their defeat.

“My main issue right now is the leather that we are playing or using in this season's league - the Mitre ball is a problem for us.

"I am pleading if authorities can do something about it because is not only me who is complaining, it is too heavy ,” he told Starr FM Sports.

“We really need to change the Mitre balls,” he added.
