Experienced midfielder, Emmanuel Keyekeh has heaped praises on the four players who had their debut game for FC Samartex on Sunday against Aduana Stars at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
Head coach Nurudeen Ahmadu handed a starting-berth to four players who joined his side this season.
The four players include right-back, Samuel Mensah Tetteh, midfielder; Ebenezer Ocran, forwards; Michael Ephson and Baba Hamadu Musa.
And Emmanuel Keyekeh has praised them for their fighting spirit throughout the 90 minutes to secure their first 3 points in the League.
According to the former Asante Kotoko midfielder, the contributions of the four players were obvious and they exhibited a very good fighting spirit as well as playing their hearts out to help the team to bag the maximum points.
"The debut of our four players showed their commitment to make history at Samartex. They were incredible. We need this character not just from them, but from everyone this season."
A tap-in goal by Michael Ephson after Aduana's goalkeeper failed to grab a bullet of a shot by Baba Hamadu Musa in the 33rd minute was enough for the Timber Giants to start the 2023/24 season's campaign on a good note.
The Green and White lads will lock horns with new entrance Nations FC this Sunday at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
