Ghana winger Ernest Nuamah has taken a major step in his recovery after returning to ball work at Olympique Lyonnais.

The 22-year-old has been out in recent weeks, but he is now back on the pitch, combining gym work with light training on the field as he works towards full fitness. Lyon coaches say he is building his strength, sharpness and confidence with the ball.

Kickgh.com sources indicate that Nuamah is doing well in his recovery, with the club’s medical team carefully controlling his training to prevent injury.

Nuamah’s return would be a big boost for both Lyon and Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, especially during a busy period.

The Black Stars technical team is also following his progress closely as they plan ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which begins in June this year.

There is still no confirmed date for his return to match action, but the signs shows Ernest Nuamah is firmly on course for a comeback.
