Hearts of Oak head coach and former Black Stars assistant Didi Dramani has spelt out Ghana’s ambition ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup, insisting that advancing from the group stage must be the nation’s minimum target.
Reacting to the World Cup draw in an interview with Akoma 87.9 FM, Dramani expressed optimism about Ghana’s chances, pointing to the experience within both the technical team and the playing squad.
“Our main objective at the World Cup should be getting out of the group,” Dramani stated. “The head coach brings a lot of experience, and several of the players have already played at this level. That experience gives us an advantage, and I am confident we can do well.”
Ghana have been placed in a demanding group alongside England, Panama, and Croatia, a combination that features established football powerhouses and ambitious competitors. Despite the challenge, Dramani believes the Black Stars possess the right balance of proven internationals and exciting emerging talents to compete effectively.
With the group stage looming, attention now shifts to preparation, as Ghana aim to sharpen their tactical organisation and attacking efficiency in order to make a strong impression on football’s biggest stage.
