Basake Holy Stars are poised to appoint former Medeama SC coach Augustine Evans Adotey as their new head coach, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.
The Ainyinase-based side has been without a permanent coach since Abdulai Gazale stepped down in June to take up the assistant coach role at giants Hearts of Oak.
Adotey, who is currently the technical director of Medeama guided the Yellow and Mauves to their maiden CAF Confederation Cup group stage appearance in 2016, is expected to take charge ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season as the Western Region club bids to make an impact and cement their top-flight status.
The 60-year-old tactician has also served as an assistant with Ghana’s national women’s team, the Black Queens, and brings decades of experience in youth and senior football.
Basake Holy Stars secured promotion to the Premier League for the first time last season and are reshaping their technical team before the campaign kicks off in September.
