Aduana Stars winger Emmanuel Gyamfi has been punished by the Ghana Football Association in what is dubbed as gross indiscipline in their Ghana Premier League week 10 fixture against Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors in that round held the two time GPL champions to a goalless draw to extend their invincible run in Dormaa to two.

Now in the course of the game, Gyamfi escaped a sent off after being caught on camera intentionally stamping on the legs of Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare in a rebuttal after he stated he was initially clipped by the latter reason for what he did.

Despite the incident happening on the blind side of the referee, it was later reviewed and Gyamfi was found guilty of breaching Article 34 (6) (d) of GFA Disciplinary Code.

He's been given five matches ban and a fine of GHS2,000 and has been warned not to repeat such a gross act.

However, his incident with midfielder Justice Blay for allegedly hitting him has been thrown away and wasn't held guilty for that incident.

The sanction means the experience winger will sit aside when Aduana Stars travel to Dreams FC in match-day 15 this Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
