Hearts of Oak captain, Kofi Agbesimah after just one season, has asked the club to terminate his contract with the actual reasons only best known to the player.

Agbesimah, joined the giants on a two-year contract last summer after leaving Bechem United and had earned vast experience and exposure in the league.

He moved to the capital after he had enjoyed an impactful five-year tenure with the Hunters, where he joined in 2018 and subsequently held the esteemed position of team captain for almost three seasons.

However, reports from a reliable source has it that, the stalwart center-back has asked to leave the capital-based side despite having a year left and the club is also willing to grant him a smooth exit if an offer comes.

In the just-finished campaign, the stalwart defender was quiet impressive in the Rainbow colours having made 30 league appearances- starting in all those with a goal to his belt which came against his former club on the final day.

Hearts of Oak are still in the rebuilding process as they look to establish a redoubtable side for the upcoming season.
