Nsoatreman FC have appointed former Black Stars forward Yaw Preko as their new head coach and General Manager Eric Alagidede has given reasons behind that.

The 'Efiri Tete Amanaso' outfit had their head coach Maxwell Konadu left his role at the end of the just-finished season and is currently on the verge of joining South African topflight side Black Leopards.

However, the former Black Galaxies boss had a fantastic spell in Nsoatre having earned them a top four finish and also a Confederations Cup spot after winning the MTN FA Cup.

Reacting to the appointment of Preko, Eric Alagidede justified that, they appointed the former Black Satellites coach because of his vast experience to lead the team in the new season especially in the CAF Confederations Cup- an experience he's had before during his time with Nigerian side Ifeanyi Ubah.

"Yaw Preko has worked with several national teams and has gained much experience. He has worked with Karim Zito and other good coaches as well. He won the Nigerian FA Cup and played in the Confederation Cup with FC Ifeanyi Ubah."

Alagidede also highlighted Preko's diverse coaching background, including his time with Shooting Stars and his recent attachment with Sheffield United. "We considered all these things and concluded he is the right man for the job."

Nsoatreman FC are currently on a break and will be regrouping very soon for the 2024/25 football season
