The Rainbow Club have secured the signature of the talented left-back from Okwahu United to bolster their defence ahead of the 2025–26 season's campaign, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.

Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak have completed the acquisition of Okwahu United defender Samuel Amankwah in the ongoing transfer window.

The 18-year-old has inked a two-year deal with the Phobians, keeping him until mid-2027, with an option to extend his contract by one year after passing a mandatory medical examination in Accra on Monday, August 11, 2025.

Amankwah has been regarded as one of the best full-backs in the second-tier league after making over 70 appearances for Okwahu United and Susubribi SC (now Okyeman Planners SC).

During the last season's campaign, he made 21 game outings for the ‘Asaase Aban’ side and made five goal contributions, helping them to finish third with 53 points, losing the Ghana Premier League spot to Hohoe United.

Amankwah joined Okwahu United from Susubribi SC (now Okyeman Planners SC) prior to the start of the 2023–24 season's campaign on a free transfer.

He becomes the latest signing of Hearts of Oak in this transfer window after the acquisition of Zaid Suraj, Prince Kwabena Owusu, Francis Duku, Baba Adamu, and Ali Mohammed.
