Ghana Premier League outfit Kotoku Royals FC have successfully reached an agreement with Acess Bank Division One League side Elmina Sharks for the free transfer of youngster Clinton Kumi.
The budding attacker Kumi, 17, has completed a mandatory medical tests and has signed a professional contract with the newly-promoted Premier League side for the next two seasons.
Clinton Kumi, who has been in some scintillating form for Elmina Sharks having played most of the club’s games in the second-tier of Ghana football attracted attention from scouts from other clubs with the aim of securing his services prior to the Christmas break.
The approach from Kotoku Royals FC was believed to be a good opportunity for the young attacking prospect to take a quick leap onto the top tier of Ghana football and with the newly-signed coach of the club, John Eduafo playing an influential role in persuading the player to join the Royals.
Kotoku Royals is currently languishing at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League ahead of the end of the first round and with the prospect of escaping relegation, the club have made some new signings to augment their current squad.
