South African giants Kaizer Chiefs have emerged as the latest club to show concrete interest in Asante Kotoko midfielder Hubert Gyau, following the youngster’s impressive start to life in Kumasi, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.

Gyau has been one of the standout performers in Kotoko’s squad this season after joining the Porcupine Warriors from Berekum Chelsea at the beginning of the campaign. The 20-year-old has quickly established himself as a key figure in the midfield, earning praise for his energy, intelligence, and goal threat.

In just 17 appearances, Gyau has already found the back of the net four times, while also picking up multiple NASCO Man of the Match awards, underlining his growing influence in the Ghana Premier League.

His consistent displays have not gone unnoticed beyond Ghana’s borders, with Kaizer Chiefs closely monitoring his progress as they look to strengthen their midfield options ahead of upcoming transfer windows. Sources indicate that the Soweto-based club are assessing potential reinforcements as part of a broader squad rebuild.

Chiefs will in the coming days submit an official bid to Kotoko for the star midfielder.

With interest from several foreign clubs also beginning to gather momentum, Kotoko could face increasing competition to retain one of their most promising young talents.
