Accra, August 23, 2023 - The seasoned defender, Kofi Agbesimah, has successfully sealed his transition to Hearts of Oak following the satisfactory completion of his mandatory medical examination in Accra.
Agbesimah, drawing from his wealth of experience, has inked a two-year contract with Hearts of Oak following productive negotiations that culminated in this exciting transfer.
After an impactful five-year tenure at Bechem United, where he held the esteemed position of team captain, Agbesimah has made the pivotal decision to join Hearts of Oak's ranks.
His move was fervently pursued by multiple clubs within the domestic league, including the likes of Asante Kotoko. However, the outcome of successful negotiations has paved the way for his association with the Phobians.
The addition of Kofi Agbesimah to the rainbow club's lineup is anticipated to fortify their defensive capabilities, particularly in the wake of the departure of dependable defenders such as Caleb Amankwah and Robert Addo.
Notably, he becomes the latest in a string of acquisitions for the Accra-based club, following the arrivals of talents like Michael Ampadu, Raphael Amponsah, Evans Adomako, Martin Karikari, Leventus Arthur, and Kelvin Osei Asibey, among others.
Agbesimah is anticipated to swiftly integrate with his new teammates during the upcoming pre-season training, aligning with Dutch coach Martin Koopman, who was recently appointed as the club's new head coach. The stage is set for an exciting start to the forthcoming season in September, with Hearts of Oak poised to make their mark under Koopman's leadership.
