Asante Kotoko midfielder, Richmond Lamptey, is determined to reassure the club's fans of an imminent victory when they face Accra Lions on Monday, October 9, 2023.
The Porcupines have experienced a challenging start to the Ghana Premier League, failing to secure a win in their first three matches. Their most recent outing ended in a 1-1 draw against Karela United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Despite the team's current struggles to secure a victory, Richmond Lamptey remains confident that they will triumph when they take on Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium next week.
"As a player for Asante Kotoko, I understand that a defeat is not something we take lightly, so our fans should expect a win against Accra Lions," Lamptey emphasized following the Karela United match.
Having recently returned from injury, Richmond Lamptey acknowledged that the team's results this season have been disappointing. Nonetheless, he encouraged the fans to continue supporting them through these challenging times.
"We are facing a difficult period, but I urge our supporters to stand by us, and I have no doubt that we will not let them down."
