After the game, Baba Hamadu Musa spoke to the press and praised Evans Osei-Wusu, the team's first-choice penalty taker, for his selfless act. Musa expressed his excitement about winning the man-of-the-match award and acknowledged his teammates' contributions, particularly Evans Osei-Wusu.

“I’m really excited to score two goals and win the man-of-the-match award. I’m very thankful to my teammates especially Evans Osei-Wusu for his selfless gesture, even though he is the team’s first penalty taker, he gave me the chance to take the penalty of which I converted it and went ahead to score my second goal in the game”, he said.

Baba Hamadu Musa joined FC Samartex during the recent transfer window, making the move from Skyy FC after clinching the Division One League's top scorer award the previous season with twenty goals.
