Aboubakar Ouattara, the head coach of Hearts of Oak, has expressed readiness to consider recruiting foreign players to bolster the team's roster, but with a stringent condition: they must possess exceptional talent.
Emphasizing his stance in an interview, Coach Ouattara underscored that any foreign player joining the club must bring a unique quality not readily available among local talents in Ghana.
"I won't advocate for signing a foreign player if there's an equally skilled player here in Ghana. If we do bring in a foreign talent, they must be extraordinary. We can't afford to have foreign players warming the bench. Look at Otanga, for instance; he sets the bar high. I want players who will fiercely compete for the team, devoid of excuses," Ouattara emphasized.
Since assuming the helm of Hearts of Oak midway through the season, Coach Ouattara has been working with the existing squad.
However, he is poised to play a pivotal role in the club's player recruitment drive at the season's conclusion, aiming to assemble a competitive team capable of vying for the Ghana Premier League title in the upcoming season.
