Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Ibrahim Salifu has officially parted ways with Kosovo side FC Drita.

Salifu, who won the Ghana Premier League Best Player award in the 2020–21 season, first made his mark as the heartbeat of Hearts of Oak.

His intelligence on the ball and leadership on the pitch helped shape the team and earned him a move to Europe, raising hopes for his international career.

During his time at Drita, Salifu attracted attention beyond club football. He was called up to the Benin national team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations. However, he did not make Benin’s final squad for the tournament in Morocco, leaving his international future open.
