Asante Kotoko have been offered the chance to sign Ugandan striker Samuel Ssenyonjo, as the Ghanaian giants continue to explore options to strengthen their attacking line ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.



Ssenyonjo, 22, impressed during the recent campaign with Express FC in Uganda’s top flight, and his representatives have reportedly initiated contact with Kotoko over a potential move to Kumasi.



The former KCCA FC forward is said to be keen on a fresh challenge in West Africa, and Kotoko are understood to be considering the proposal as part of their wider recruitment strategy.



Kickgh.com understands that talks are still at a very early stage, but Ssenyonjo’s profile is one the Porcupine Warriors is open to reviewing as he has been told he will be invited to undergo a trial period before any decision is made.



If successful, Ssenyonjo would become the latest East African talent to test himself in Ghana’s top flight.



Ssenyonjo has emerged as one of Uganda’s top striking prospects during his time with Express FC, where he was the club's leading goal monger and ranked fourth overall with twelve goals, and was part of Uganda’s U-20 team that reached the final of the 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania.



He played in five games, setting up one goal, as Uganda enjoyed a strong run to the final before being beaten by Ghana.
