Accra Hearts of Oak have expressed interest in Abdul Karim, the highly-rated midfielder from Nations FC, as the Phobians look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The 25-year-old was one of Nations FC’s standout performers during the 2024/25 campaign, featuring in 19 league games and earning plaudits for his distribution and work rate in central midfield.

His performances have attracted attention from several top-tier Ghanaian clubs, with Hearts of Oak reportedly among the front-runners.

Hearts of Oak are aiming to rebuild under their new head coach Didi Dramani following a mixed run of form last season.

Abdul Karim’s potential arrival would add depth and competition to the Phobians midfield, as they prepare for a fierce time in the new campaign.

While talks are believed to be at an early stage, it is understood that Nations FC are open to listening to offers for the former Bechem United lynchpin, provided they meet the club’s valuation.
