Former Legon Cities winger, Stephen Appiah Asare is on the cusp of making a switch to Asante Kotoko, having arrived in Kumasi for a medical examination before finalizing his transfer.

Asante Kotoko has been busy bolstering their squad after releasing over 20 first-team players, and Appiah's addition is expected to further strengthen their chances in the upcoming season.

The 28-year-old has impressed the Porcupines' technical team, led by coach Dr. Prosper Ogum, with his performances for Legon Cities in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Appiah joined Legon Cities in the second round of the season on a short term deal and went on to feature 14 times for the Royals, scoring twice and providing one assist.

His move to Asante Kotoko is expected to be completed in the coming days, subject to the successful completion of his medical examination.
