Former Liberty Professionals attacker Elvis Kyei Baffour has begun training with Asante Kotoko ahead of a potential transfer to his childhood club.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian striker participated in the Porcupines' training session on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Adako Jachie training complex.

This marks a crucial step towards sealing a move to the Kumasi-based club, where he has always dreamed of playing.

Kyei will be closely monitored by the technical team of Asante Kotoko this week, and if he impresses, a deal could be struck in the near future.

The former AS Soliman forward is keen on joining the Porcupines. He was Liberty Professionals’ top scorer for the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season with eight goals in 15 matches.

Born and raised in Kumasi, Kyei has been an avid fan of Asante Kotoko since childhood.

He joined Liberty Professionals in 2017 from Kumasi Rainbow FC and has been eager to make the switch to his hometown club.
