Former Tamale City attacker Sampson Eduku has officially commenced training with giants Asante Kotoko over a possible move.

The 28-year-old is currently unattached after ending his spell with the Iraqi giants Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya.

Eduku joined Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in August 2023 following his swashbuckling performance for Tamale City FC in the Ghana Premier League 2022/23 season.

The 28-year-old forward racked up 14 goals and provided 3 assists in 27 appearances in the Ghanaian top-division before departing for greener pastures.

Following a short-stint in Iraq, the former Samartex forward has returned to Ghana ahead of a possible move in the second transfer window.

Eduku joined Asante Kotoko training on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 as he aim to sign for the club in the upcoming window.

However, the talented attacker will have to impress the technical team of the Porcupine Warriors before earning a contract with the record Premier League holders.

As revealed by Asante Kotoko coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, the Porcupine Warriors will augment their squad during the second transfer window.

“I think that in the second round, we will basically still augment the team in departments where we need to strengthen. So, definitely, we’ll do that” he said.
