Experienced Ghanaian forward Michael Sarpong has officially signed a one-year contract with Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC.
The 28-year-old joins the Tarkwa-based club as a free agent after his previous contract with South African Betway Premiership outfit Sekhukhune United expired on June 30, 2024.
Sarpong is expected to enhance the attacking prowess of Medeama SC as they aim to reclaim the league title from rivals Samartex. His extensive experience in various leagues is anticipated to make a significant impact on the team’s performance this season.
Before his move to Medeama, Sarpong had a successful career, playing for several clubs, including Dreams FC, Rayon Sports, Yanga SC, AS Kigali, and Al Nahda, among others.
His arrival is viewed as a crucial step in bolstering the team's offensive capabilities for the season.
Medeama are currently on top of the Ghana Premier League with nine points from three games as they aim to clinch the title to return to Africa.
