Bibiani GoldStars coach Frimpong Manso has attributed his team’s impressive form this season to their dedication, discipline, and collective effort.
GoldStars, who are currently leading the Ghana Premier League, secured a 2-1 victory over defending champions FC Samartex in the FA Cup Round of 64 on Sunday. The team has suffered just one defeat so far and is firmly in contention for the league title.
In an interview with Happy FM after the FA Cup win, Manso expressed pride in his team’s commitment. “There’s no secret to our success. It’s all down to our hard work. The players are determined and their eagerness to achieve something great makes them listen and follow my instructions. Their discipline is key, and I believe that’s what has driven our success this season,” Manso stated.
Looking ahead, Manso emphasized the importance of squad depth as they aim to remain competitive in both the FA Cup and the league. “Competing in both competitions requires squad depth. We can’t rely on the same players all the time; otherwise, some might feel sidelined or that there’s no trust in them,” he explained.
Despite their strong position, Manso insists that the team is not focusing on specific trophies but is rather focused on continuous improvement. “We haven’t set a target on which trophy to win. We’re just focused on competing and taking it game by game,” he added.
GoldStars have already secured impressive wins against top clubs such as Hearts of Oak, Aduana Stars, and Bechem United. They will look to extend their dominance as they face Karela in their next league match.
