Asante Kotoko legend Sarfo Gyamfi is confident his former side will secure a victory over Hearts of Oak in their upcoming Ghana Premier League encounter.

The highly anticipated match will take place on December 14, 2024, at the Baba Yara Stadium, marking matchday 13 of the domestic top-flight. The Ghana Premier League is currently on break due to the upcoming General Elections this weekend.

Sarfo Gyamfi was present on Sunday when Kotoko triumphed 2-0 over Division One League side Future Stars to progress in the FA Cup competition.

Speaking to Kessben FM, Gyamfi expressed his belief that Kotoko will maintain their recent dominance over their rivals. "We’ve defeated Hearts of Oak in our last three meetings, and nothing is going to change when we face them this time. We don’t care about their recent form. It’s a different ball game altogether when we take on Hearts of Oak," he said.

He added, “It’s a die-and-die affair. Even if we have to go into the sea and beat them, we will just do that. We are not afraid at all."

Asante Kotoko currently sit in 7th place in the Ghana Premier League standings with 18 points, while Hearts of Oak are in 6th place with 19 points.
