New Nations FC head coach, Samuel Frimpong has spoken after his appointment as new head coach of Nations FC and is looking forward maintaining the standard of the club or improve it going forward.
The Eagles parted ways with their head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and his assistant Johnson Smith over weekend despite their 3-2 win over Eleven Wonders in what they described as poor performance.
However, Frimpong Manso was also just recently sacked by Bibiani GoldStars for the same reason but won’t stay off much as he is already returning to the dugout.
Speaking after his appointment, the former Black Stars defender aims at improving Nations FC - who have proven to be a household name and mainstay since they came into the topflight
“Nations FC is a strong team. The team has been in existence and has done well to this point. We’ve seen a lot of things and we believe we can work to improve the team” he told the club’s media.
During his time with the Miners where he took over two seasons ago, he led them to a historic Ghana Premier League triumph last season but was shown the exit door after their defeat to JS Kabylie in the CAF Champions League.
Frimpong Manso will have Aboagye Dacosta as his assistant coach and their first task will be a visit to Bechem United this weekend in GPL match-week 8.
