Asante Kotoko winger, George Mfegue has exhibited his readiness to showcase his best in the new season after confirming he's fully recovered from injury.

The Cameroonian attacker was a delight to watch last season, having established a solid partnership with countryman Franck Etouga Mbella to help the Porcupine Warriors clinch the league after almost eight year abeyance.

Mfegue despite being linked with lots of links away from Kotoko, is still with them but has been out of action off late due to injury but has now recovered fully and will be ready for selection should the league resume any moment from now.

Speaking in an interview, the year old has disclosed he is now fully fit and ready, looking very optimistic they will replicate what they did in the previous season or even better. He said;

"I have been always ready but unfortunately my injury situation has disrupted my smooth start of the season but mentally i am ready i  know that we can do it again like last season."

"I know our fans are looking up to us and I know we will do it together as a group."

The Ghanaian champions were kicked out of the CAF Champions League after losing on penalties to Burkinabe side RC Kadiogo in the first round prelims.

The 'Kum Apem' lads also begun the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League campaign on a good note, having picked four points from their opening two matches but the league is currently on hold due to court injunction.
