Asante Kotoko and Legon Cities FC have been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for breaching multiple regulatory provisions following their Match Day 6 encounter in the Ghana Premier League.
The GFA cited violations of Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019, and Section 16(1)(e) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019.
The charges stem from an incident where both clubs allegedly failed to control their officials and supporters, leading to a brawl that tarnished the integrity of the game.
Such misconduct not only disrupts the match atmosphere but also brings the reputation of the league into disrepute.
Both clubs have been given a deadline to respond to the charges, with the GFA requiring their submissions by Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
