In recent weeks Asante Kotoko has been hit-struck with grief and awe, demanding answers following the unfortunate death of fan Francis Frimpong (Pooley) during a Ghana Premier League match against Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Amoah Koronmansah Park.

A club statement from the Porcupine Warriors revealed that Ghana FA Boss Kurt Okraku was “coming to Kumasi to have discussions with the club in seeking justice and developing a reliable resolution to what transpired at Nsoatre.

"Asante Kotoko SC wishes to inform our supporters and the general public that the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Kurt Okraku, will pay a visit to the club’s leadership on Thursday at 1:00 PM at the club’s secretariat.

“This meeting forms part of ongoing engagements following the tragic events at the Nana Koramansah Park, and we welcome the GFA President’s visit as we continue to seek justice and meaningful reforms for the safety and integrity of Ghanaian football."

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko is slated to recommence training today (Wednesday).
