Bashiru Abu’s first-half header proved enough to guide Bofoakwa Tano to a narrow 1-1 draw stalemate against Bechem United at Sunyani Coronation Park.
Bofo had a couple of chances to go ahead before Bechem United took the lead on the half-hour mark courtesy of defender Boa-At Regain goal.
Bofoakwa put the Hunters under pressure exactly eleven minutes after the goal, to convert their moments of promise into an equaliser, ensuring that they fell to a third draw in four Premier League matches.
The draw lifts Bofo up to 15th position (on 31 points) as they continue their bid to escape relegation, while Bechem United are rooted in 6th with 39 points.
The home team showed great intent following the half-time interval, while the Hunters struggled to find their best form after the break which forced the match to end on a one-all stalemate in front of a packed charged supporters.
