Two goals from Yahaya Mohammed and Daniel Awuni were enough for Accra Lions FC to edge Bibiani Goldstars by 2-0 earlier this afternoon at the Ohene Gyan Stadium in match-week 26 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Lions right from the blast of the referee's whistle exerted their authority on the game and dominated right from onset in search of an early lead.

Eventually, the approach was successful having opened the scoring account in just eighteen minutes from kickoff through Yahaya Mohammed who rebounded from David Oduro's first shot.

Goldstars subsequently settled down and also made some goal incursions but were not clinical enough upfront to level things up.

In the second half, it took Daniel Awuni just two minutes to double the lead for Accra Lions with a brilliant finish after receiving a great pass from Dominic Amponsah.

Both teams subsequently, exhibited some quality possessive style of football with the homesters on top, dictating the pace and pattern of the game.

Blessing Asuman was put through in a one on one situation with goalkeeper Ernest Kusi to make three but the former couldn't make it count.

The Miners at some point came into the game strongly and made some attacks but all proved futile. It finished 2-0 for Accra Lions after full time.
