The Royals secured back-to-back victories after recording a late five-goal thriller win over Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League match-week 28 fixture on Friday afternoon.

Legon Cities inflicted a painful defeat on Coach Samuel Boadu's side by scoring two late goals to record a 3-2 home win at the Theater of Dreams Park in Dawu.

The home side dominated the majority of possession in the first half and managed to open the scoring before the break through two-goal hero Frederick Akatuk in the 43rd minute.

Akatuk continued his impressive performance for Legon Cities by giving them a deserving lead on the stroke of halftime with a cool finish.

In the second half, Berekum Chelsea warmed themselves into the fixture with a different approach, which helped them score two goals, but it wasn't enough to give them a point at Dawu.

Substitute Patrick Kofi Ansu leveled the score in the 84th minute when goalkeeper Kwame Aziz's save from a free-kick met him to connect it into the yawning net.

Three minutes later, Abdul Yaya Rahim restored the lead for Legon Cities with a brilliant strike, but another Berekum Chelsea substitute, Awuah Dramani, made it 2-2 in the 90th minute with a stunning free-kick.

When most of the fans at the Theater of Dreams Park in Dawu thought the game was ending in a two-all draw, Frederick Akatuk popped up with the match-winner in the 90+4 minutes to hand Legon Cities all three maximum points.
