Bibiani Gold Stars secured it incredibly early to record another winning streak with a 2-1 Premier League success over Bofoakwa Tano in a scrappy contest at the Dun’s Park.

An end-to-end contest rife with fouls and stoppages was seemingly destined to end in the home side’s favor in Western North, as former Berekum Chelsea lynchpin’ Solomon Obilitey pulled a goal back (in the 28th minute) after a merited Miners two goals, which arrived via the boot of Alex Aso and Appiah McCarthy in the 3rd and 9th minutes, respectively.

The visitors enjoyed promising spells of possession in an otherwise scrappy 90 minutes, in which Gold Stars survived a couple of free-kicks and dangerous attempts on goal.

Bofo were in a charitable mood in Western North, gifting possession away cheaply on a few occasions, but Gold Stars could not capitalise as they were kept at bay from their efforts.

Gold Stars are now 10th with 28 points, while Bofoakwa Tano comfortably lies in the relegation quarters; 16th with 23 points.
