Asante Kotoko midfielder, Rashid Nortey has shaked off his long injury and is on the verge of returning to action very soon, Kickgh.com can report authoritatively.
The 28-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors in January 2023 after ending his stay with Medeama SC and started on a higher note in Kumasi.
However, he sustained injury at some point and was completely out of action in the latter part of last season.
The sad thing is, he was still on sidelines until just recently, all due to string of injuries and set-backs and is yet to kick a ball in the ongoing 2023/24 football season for the 'Kum Apem' lads.
The pleasant reports coming through are that, Nortey currently is in a very good condition having recovered fully and is ready to return into action as soon as possible.
The Black Galaxies midfielder is expected to bring in stability in the Kotoko midfield again as they hope to patch up all cracks soon to return into the title race as they currently sit five points behind the top-spot.
Asante Kotoko have lost their last three matches and will definitely seek redemption when they host regional rivals Nations FC in Ghana Premier League match-day 23 opener on Friday, March 22, 2024.
