Goals from Salim Adams and Linda Mtange was enough for Hearts of Oak to record a 2-1 fightback win over Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara Stadium in GPL matchweek 22

The Lions subsequently returned on an explosive note in the game and begun to mount so much pressure, which eventually led to their hosts going a man down after Dennis Korsah was given the matching orders.

The Rainbow Club scored again on the 65th minute through Congolese midfielder Linda Mtange to lead for the first time in the game.

Salim Adams with another opportunity to increase the lead but his trademark long range drive was parried away by goalkeeper Thomas Osae.

Two huge clearances in the last ten minutes including a goal-line stop from Oppong Afrane and Michael Ampadu saved Hearts of Oak as Lions nearly snatched the leveller.

It ended 2-1 for Hearts of Oak after 90+6 minutes to get themselves back on winning ways.

They have now climbed up to the 7th position on the league table with 32 points and will play as guests to league leaders Samartex FC in the next round of matches.
